We are a diverse group of women of various ages, occupations, goals and interests, who have a very strong common bond - we are Jewish Women committed to Judaism and its perpetuation. Whether it is helping us plan events at a Program Meeting, organizing a fund raising event, leading Shabbat Services, reviewing a book, debating important issues, or working in the kitchen, we feel that connection. Join us, and you too will feel that connection and more. You will find lifelong friends. You will have a sense of satisfaction at having helped Shomrei Torah. You will feel good about yourself, your community and your life.

Sisterhood's projects and commitments include Judaica Gift Shop, Hanukkah Boutique, Oneg Shabbat and Kiddush for our Congregation, Masorti, Tikun Olam, Women's League Shabbat, Torah Fund, Bereavement Table, Financial Support to USY, and Gifts to every Bar and Bat Mitzvah child, Religious School graduates, and ECE Kindergarten graduates.

Men's Club

The Shomrei Torah Synagogue Men’s Club is a group of men of all ages and a variety of backgrounds who gather to learn, have fun, and support our synagogue and the Jewish community.

The Shomrei Torah Men’s Club membership is extraordinarily diverse. Truly representative of the community at large, our members are all ages and come from a variety of backgrounds. We all share a desire to serve our synagogue and community, gather as friends, and preserve and promote Jewish religion, culture, and values.

What Are Our Goals?

Serve the needs of STS and the community.
Produce new and exciting programs for our members and synagogue family, like our award-winning Kung Pao Comedy Night.
Support our synagogue affiliates, operating needs, and educational programs.
Preserve and promote Jewish religion, culture, and values.
Involve Jewish men in Jewish life.
Support each other with a wide range of programs addressing important men’s issues.
Gather with friends.

What Are Our Activities?

Activities are the heart of the STS Men’s Club. We have regularly scheduled programs or meetings every month. Come to one and see what all the excitement is about! Check out our calendar to see our upcoming events.

Special Programs

College Outreach
- Men’s Club sends personalized communications and Jewish holiday gifts to our STS college students living away from home to help them maintain their Jewish identity.
Yom Hashoah Candles
- Men’s Club fulfills its responsibility to the Jewish community and to the memory of the Six Million by providing Yom Hashoah candles to STS members.
Keruv
- Working with the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs, we developed our Synagogue’s nationally recognized Keruv program for supporting families dealing with an interfaith marriage.
Tikun Olam
- Men’s Club supports the broader community with a variety of outreach activities, including participation in Mitzvah Day.
STS Softball Team
- STS Men’s Club members are players on the STS softball team, part of a region-wide synagogue softball league.
Religious Holiday Activities
- Every year, Men’s Club supports our religious festivals with activities such as building the STS sukkah and supporting the Night in Shushan and Purim Carnival.

Hazak

Shomrei Torah Synagogue invites you to join our STS Seniors Hazak. A social/education/ fun "club" catering to the "55 +" members. Welcome to STS-Hazak group our program for adults age 55 and over. By participating in our monthly program activities,members will enrich their personal lives and realize their social and intellectual growth. This past year our programs included Klezmer music, lectures, a field trip,and other entertainment. With over 70 members and growing, join us to be among old friends and make new ones.
